Let’s Talk Anime Podcast: Episode 2

My first “review” on my podcast, on Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku. It’s both a halfway through the season review and a comparison piece with this anime and two other romance anime I’ve watched!

Much shorter than the other two episodes I’ve done for this podcast, not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing.

Like before, I’d love if you gave it a listen and left any comments on this post so I can easily look at them!

My Thoughts On: Persona 5 The Animation (Ep 1-6) — 05/19/2018

My Thoughts On: Persona 5 The Animation (Ep 1-6)

Before I get into this, I want to explain that I’ve never played the game, so this is going based solely on how it does as a standalone anime.

In beginning to watch this, the very first thing I thought of was how beautiful the main character is. Weird place to start, I know, but that was my very first impression. He has plain features: messy black hair, gray eyes, glasses, but somehow in the way he shows expression he comes off as adorable to me.

That’s over with, so I’ll move onto more reasonable topics. It was a weirdly big reason to get me to watch this, haha.

[OWLS Blog Tour: “Movement”] Maybe There is an “I” in Team: Bungou Stray Dogs — 05/15/2018

[OWLS Blog Tour: “Movement”] Maybe There is an “I” in Team: Bungou Stray Dogs

It feels like it’s been so long since I’ve written an OWLS post. April seemed never ending to me!

Something exciting: I’m nearing my one year anniversary with OWLS! I joined this group near the end of May last year, and I wrote my first OWLS post on June 22nd. It feels like I only joined this group yesterday, but as they say, time flies when you’re having fun.

If you aren’t aware, this post is a part of a blog tour OWLS has every month with a different topic. We are a group of loving anime fans who want to spread positivity for all people through pop culture and anime! We are non-discriminant against anyone regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, etc.

I was quite excited when I saw what this month’s prompt was, and it happened to tie right into the show I was invested in during sign ups. I was about halfway through my watch of it at the time, and I just finished it Saturday night! Luckily, the second season was perfect for this.

This month’s prompt is:

We join movements, organizations, and systems that align with our own personal values and beliefs. Sometimes we join these groups because they believe in doing good and making positive changes in society. However, these movements can turn sour when a dictator arises or behind the good intentions, there’s a hidden agenda of oppression. It is in these groups that individuals start to shape their identities by questioning their values and beliefs or conforming to the system. This month, we will be examining “real and/or fictitious” movements, organizations, or systems in anime and other pop culture mediums, and the positive and negative effects they have on individuals and society.

Let’s Talk Anime Podcast: Episode 1

I thought I’d be back from hiatus last week, but apparently I needed more time to get back in the swing of things. I managed to finish editing this episode of my podcast though, and after many cuts of sniffles and coughs and awkward pauses, it’s ready to share with you all!

Support my podcast by favoriting it, listening to it, and giving me comments on this post so I know what you think! I work hard to edit it and prepare it for everyone, and keeping both a blog and a podcast is hard work, along with everything else I do!

Also, you don’t have to listen only on Anchor! My podcast is available on multiple platforms: Apple podcast, Google podcast, Pocket cast, etc.

Thanks everyone who’s been supporting me and being patient in my absence!

My Reasons Why — 05/01/2018

My Reasons Why

Thursday morning, I got a notification that I was nominated for this tag! And it was perfect timing. Since Wednesday, I’d felt pretty stressed out and like complete garbage. Monday, I finally handed in my ten page paper for English, so I’m feeling better now. When I reach the end of a semester now, I fall into a depression, so it’s harder than normal for me to eat, get out of bed, take a shower, do homework, and pretty much everything else I do in my life. Deadlines give me stress, and I don’t do much about it to get rid of that lingering feeling.

But that’s over now! I wrote most of this during that time to relieve myself of stress, but wasn’t able to post it until now.
